Asian Waterbird Census at Mokarsagar

SSDCSC in the collaboration with Porbandar Forest Division- Porbandar, Indian Coastguard- Porbandar, GWCS and MWCC organised Asian Waterbird Census (AWC) on 1st February- 2015 and recorded 1,93,358 waterbirds. •17 birdwatchers from Jamnagar and Porbanda
Mokarsagar Website Lauched

Dr. A P Singh, IFS, Chief Conservator of Forests, Wildlife Circle, Junagadh, launched a dedicated website exclusively for wetlands of Porbandar. Initially, Website is sponsored by Mr Bhaskar Thankey, Fund raiser and Cofounder of MWCC.
Demarcation survey of proposed Sanctuary

MWCC provided necessary support to BCRLIP- Gir team and Forest department in the demarcation project of proposed Mokarsagar Bird Sanctuary.

Wetland Cleanup
In June 2015, a group of wetland lovers cleaned the area close to first watchtower and collected the left over of the Banjaras who follow pastoral practice.
